Well, here's a sampler featuring four bands.
Rotten Anger, Mayhem Decay Cudgel, Conflito Final and Noise all play raw, lo-fi, authentic Brazilian Noise-core. This record was self-produced by the bands, and as it was stated on the cover, it was not meant to be bought or sold, but could be obtained by trade. I suppose this record is pretty rare and hard to come by, maybe no more than 200 or 300 copies were pressed.
The bands considered this record or the awful sounds they produced as a vehicle for their anti-capitalist, anarchist ideas, and they didn't want it to be assimilated as merchandise or a cultural product item.
While most U.S. and European bands in the Noisecore movement don't take themselves very seriously, with their goofy lyrics dealing with porn, mass-media bullshit, scatology, childish stuff, getting stuck in the basic anal stage... ( Funny how most Noisecore bands associate their musical expression with the act of defecating... ), those Brazileiros are not kidding, they were deeply political. I guess it may be associated with the fact that living in a shitty Brazilian suburb with the minimum wage is not really funny.
While the mastering job and the pressing quality on this slab of vinyl is catastrophic, resulting in lots of surface noise, cracks and pops while the record is almost new, you can get the address of the pressing plant located in Rio de Janeiro, definitely the best place in the world to press Noisecore records...Barhulo nao Musica:
