Headache / Recusant - split tape - 1994Bands Headache and Recusant were a bunch of squatter punks playing and touring extensively in Europe during the mid nineties. Recusant included some former members from the french band/collective Parkaj Mental. Headache played crazy and quirky jazz-punk-core, complex yet quite direct, the songs included in that tape are their best and most energic recordings.
Recusant music is also twisted and crazy, but with an anarcho-punk perspective, including warm and passionate female vocals.
Both bands shared a split ep later on on Flat Earth records.
They both have their CD discography, Headache discography was released By Life is Abuse, while the Recusant CD might be harder to find...
Those people were fully living by the DIY ethic, being full-time squatters and activists, some of them still continue to play in similar creative music projects to this day.
The archive there also includes a 24 page booklet, full of magic mushroom influenced collages and drawings. Enjoy.
