Hailing from from the small provincial town of Varkaus.Got this from a mailorder distro back in the early nineties, being a 13 song seven inch, i was expecting crude finnish thrash in the vein of early Terveet Kadet or Sorto, have to admit i was a bit disappointed when receiving the record. Saaste's music is fast paced punk with thin guitars delivered in a quite joyous, fun and laid-back atmosphere. I've read once an interview from a Finnish band where they said that life was so boring in Finland that the two options available for the youth was binge-drinking every week-end or playing music. According to their record pictures, Saaste were engaged in both activities. Two reasons for you to download this record: it's quite decent and enjoyable music, and this record hadn't been posted yet in the internet...
