v.a. - Síndrome Colonial - Underground Macau 7''ep
Tien An Men Records - TAM 013 -1997
01 - La Haine – Tupac Amaru
02 - La Haine – Curto-circuito
03 - Eastern Red – The Red Killer
04 - Eastern Red – East Is Red
Two underground bands from Macau on an orange wax seven inch produced by the french label Tien An Men records. La Haine is a strange entity, with vocals sung in portuguese, the band's name and some samples are taken from the M.Kassovitz 1995 french movie "La Haine". The song Tupac Amaru deals with the story of the japanese embassy hostage crisis done by the MRTA rebels in Lima, Peru back in 1996.
On the flip, Dongfang Hong aka Eastern Red are delivering two tracks of more classic average punk rock which i believe are sung in chinese language. Not that the Macau peninsula is a sort of cultural desert when it comes to punk music but i never ever heard any stuff coming from that place except this ep. Worth downloading the two songs of La Haine alone.
