Ten songs demo plus six live songs from this cool NYHC band who played simple, basic metal free U.S hardcore. Some tracks of this demo had been re-issued on a bootleg 7inch with a very poor sound quality, SFA self-released their first 7'' the same year of '88 but the studio recording session proved to be a real disaster... Their first vocalist, Mike Bullshit, went to play later on the band GO!.
Bought that tape at a Sunday afternoon all-ages show at CBGBs back in August '88, those shows were called "Hardcore Matinee", NY bands Breakdown and Burden of Proof were also on the bill but they were generic and unimaginative boring music to my ears, most of the audience were shaved-heads-boot-wearing teenagers, straight-edge and skinheads or maybe a mix of both, hence the smoke-free and alcohol-free type of gig which i wasn't familiar with before... but SFA played faster than the rest, were full of enthusiasm and pulled out a great show... Enjoy this recording in its full glory here:
