Terrible Virtue - I Only Laugh When It Hurts - 9 songs Demo tape 1989

Another overlooked Aussie band. They mix elements of classic Hardcore Punk with Ultra-fast blast beats parts. They seemed influenced by the Grindcore & Thrash British bands from the era, that was 1989, labels like Earache records or Manic Ears, Peaceville started to gain larger recognition...
They also cover a song from Electro Hippies here. The recording quality on that demo is quite impressive, according to the liner notes, it took them almost one month to record it, the sound of all the instruments are clearly defined while remaining powerful, nice job. On the other side, the songwriting lacks of creativity and imagination, most of the songs alternate verse/chorus/verse without much further developments.

Terrible Virtue, live 1989.

While researching some info on the band, i discovered that Terrible Virtue reunited 20 years later, and they eventually play live from time to time, that's almost incredible man !!! You can check this recent interview to understand their motivations and urge to play together again. we learn there they have much more unreleased material ( 3 demos ) under their belts.
oh, if you want to know more, they also have a Myspace.
