Second vinyl effort from the Colombian band Restos de Tragedia.
The band started in 1988, among the violent and troubled context of the city of Medellin, which was notorious for its high crime rate and the rise of the famous Medellin drug cartel.
R.D.T's sound is quite dissonant and weird, while staying raw and primitive like most Colombian bands from these times, the songwriting and melodies are intricate and elaborated, note some of the members played previously in the Colombian pioneering death metal bands like Parabellum & Blasfemia. Aside from that, they also got 3 tracks featured on the terrible lp sampler "La Ciudad Podrida" in 1990. The band reunited back in 2006 or 2007 and they have two recent recordings out, but in my opinion, it lacks the power and urgency those lads delivered back in the days, if you're interested in their current activities, there's the possibility to check their Myspace page.

You can download their first ep Ser Y No Ser from the brilliant blog Amargado De La Vida, good thing, the folder includes scans & lyric sheet.

Oh, I found out recently that their 2008 album is available for download, the
"Malos Tiempos, Buenas Ideas" CD collects recently recorded versions of their early material, for RDT enthusiasts, the cleaner production makes the tricky songwriting more obvious, interesting listen by any means...

Video from a rehearsal, back in 1990, they play the opening song from the ep, "Interperie"
